Make traditional Romanian polenta, the easy way! I will show you how to make polenta perfectly, every time!

  • 1L water
  • 200g organic cornmeal
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • Optional - 25g butter
  1. Bring water to a boil in a large pot. Add sea salt.
  2. Take cornmeal by the handful and add to water slowly. Stir quickly to avoid lumps. Use a long handled wooden spoon( I used one with a hole in the middle which is more suitable for liquid consistency meals).
  3. Cook for 20 minutes, stirring constantly. Polenta will become very thick while cooking. It is done when it comes away cleanly from the sides of the pot.
  4. Optional - Add 25g of butter.
  5. Pour polenta in a round shape form and let it cool for 15 minutes.
  6. Cut cooled polenta into slices and serve!
