Ceaiul poate fi foarte bun chiar si baut gol, insa stilul de viata britanic sugereaza ca pe langa el trebuie servite si cateva gustari. De exemplu, cand englezii beau ceaiul de la ora cinci se mai delecteaza si cu cateva senvisuri mici si cu biscuiti. In timp, diverse tari au adoptat scones si au venit cu propriile lor versiuni! Mai exista si scones care sunt pregatite in tigaie asemeni unor clatite, de unde isi iau si forma. Exista si \u201dlemonade scones\u201d la care se adauga limonada si smantana in loc de lapte si unt. Unde mai pui ca au si cam aceeasi reteta! Ingredientele de baza pentru cele doua sunt in principiu aceleasi: faina, drojdie, putina sare, putin unt, lapte si poate putin zahar. Pana si modurile de preparare se aseamana: se adauga bucatile de unt in ingredientele uscate, se adauga cele lichide, se amesteca si se pune la copt. Diferentele sunt subtile, la nivel de textura si modul in care se servesc.<\/p><p>Scones-urile britanice sunt mai dense, mai uscate si mai sfaramicioase decat biscuitii. Alta diferenta provine din tendinta americanilor sa indulceasca orice preiau de la britanici. In cazul biscuitilor, acestia sunt acoperiti de regula cu fulgi de <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/gourmandelle.com\/ro\/tag\/ciocolata\/\">ciocolata<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/gourmandelle.com\/ro\/tag\/nuci\/\">alune<\/a><\/strong>, si au diverse umpluturi dulci, cu gust de ciocolata sau de fructe. Englezii de regula nu le mananca la micul dejun, insa nu e nimic gresit daca vrei sa faci asta &#8211; poti sa-ti iei un scone de la Starbucks si sa il bei cu cafea in loc de ceai.<\/p><p>Scones sunt o reteta foarte usor de facut, si nimeni nu ar trebui sa se simta presat de traditii sau sa incerce sa le urmeze suta la suta. Dupa cum am mentionat si mai sus, scones-urile englezesti se servesc cu gem si crema inchegata. Altii le prefera cu branza si sunca.
