Acest fel de mancare emblematic reflecta abundenta agricola si creativitatea culinara a regiunii, incorporand ingrediente care erau usor disponibile si favorizate de bucatarii maghiari.<\/p><p>Paprikas isi deriva numele din cuvantul maghiar \u201eboia\u201d, care se refera la mirodeniile vibrante de ardei rosu care reprezinta un semn distinctiv al bucatariei maghiare. Boiaua de ardei a devenit un ingredient de baza in bucataria maghiara dupa ce a fost introdusa in regiune in secolul al XVI-lea de catre turci in timpul ocupatiei Ungariei de catre Imperiul Otoman. Smantana este adesea adaugata in sos pentru a crea o textura cremoasa si pentru a echilibra aromele.
