Tzatziki

This classic Greek tzatziki blends thick yogurt with grated cucumber, garlic, dill, and a splash of lemon for a cool, creamy dip. It comes together in minutes and is perfect served with warm pita bread or crackers.

Ingredients 

  • 400 g Greek yogurt
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 3 cucumbers raw or pickled
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 2-3 Tbsp dill chopped
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Rinse the cucumbers and grate them, then squeeze out the excess liquid.
  • Mash or finely mince the garlic cloves.
  • Add the Greek yogurt to a medium bowl. Stir in the olive oil and lemon juice until well combined. Add the garlic, cucumber, dill, salt, and pepper, and mix everything together.
  • Cover and store in the fridge for at least an hour before serving.

Notes

For the best texture, squeeze the grated cucumber dry before adding it so the dip stays thick rather than watery. Store covered in the fridge for up to 3 days.
