Ingredients
  

For the apple crisp filling:

  • 6 Granny Smith apples peeled and diced
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon of lemon juice

For the oat crisp layer:

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¾ cup oat flakes
  • ¾ cup white flour use gluten-free flour, if needed
  • ½ cup room-temperature butter diced
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven and grease a baking dish with butter or oil.
  • In a bowl, combine diced apples, sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice.
  • Mix well, then transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish.
  • In another bowl, prepare the topping by mixing all the top layer ingredients.
  • Sprinkle the topping evenly over the apple mixture.
  • Bake in the preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 40-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
  • Serve the warm easy apple crisp with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or yogurt. Enjoy!
