Golden, savory baked pizza balls packed with mushrooms, mozzarella and Italian herbs. These bite-sized vegetarian snacks are easy to make and perfect for parties, family dinners or a quick treat.
Chop the mushrooms and lightly saute them in olive oil for 10 minutes.
Heat the oven to 200 C (392 F).
Cover the baking tray with baking paper.
In a bowl, add all the ingredients for the pizza balls.
Mix with a spatula until a homogeneous composition is formed.
Form balls of approximately 5 cm each and arrange them on the lined baking tray.
Place in the hot oven and bake for 25 minutes or until browned.
Serve the pizza balls warm, with tomato sauce.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheat in the oven at 180 C until warmed through. Serve with extra tomato sauce for dipping.
