This creamy chocolate fudge flan is a silky, flourless dessert baked gently in a bain-marie until just set. Rich with cocoa and finished with chocolate sprinkles, it is an easy make-ahead treat that is well worth the chilling time.
In a food processor, add all the remaining ingredients except the chocolate sprinkles.
Blend the ingredients until you get a creamy and smooth composition.
Pour the mixture into the cake pan prepared earlier.
Place the pan inside a larger baking tray and pour hot water into the outer tray until it reaches roughly halfway up the sides of the flan pan.
Bake in this bain-marie for about 40 to 60 minutes, until the flan is set.
Remove the flan from the oven and run a knife along the edges to loosen it from the pan. Let it cool, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
Turn the flan out onto a serving plate, sprinkle with the chocolate decorations, and serve.
Notes
Chill the flan for at least 4 hours, or overnight, before unmolding so it sets fully and slices cleanly. Keep it refrigerated and enjoy within 3 to 4 days.
