“Fiber Boom!” Banana Breakfast Smoothie

A refreshing, naturally sweet banana smoothie blended with a six-seed mix of amaranth, sunflower, chia, sesame, flax and poppy seeds for a fiber- and nutrient-packed start to the day. Ready in just 5 minutes.

Ingredients 

  • 2 bananas ripe
  • 4 ice cubes
  • 2 tbsp seed mix make ahead – mix raw sesame, poppy, amaranth, chia, flax and sunflower seeds and keep in a jar; add to smoothies or raw desserts
  • water as needed – add just enough to blend, then a little more depending on how thick you want the smoothie

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth, adding water a little at a time until you reach the consistency you like. Enjoy!

Notes

Very ripe, black-spotted bananas work best here — they are sweeter and easier to blend. Freeze overripe bananas instead of tossing them, so you always have some on hand for this smoothie. Add water gradually to reach the thickness you like.
