How to Make Sweet Potato Fries | Step-by-Step Recipe
Crispy baked sweet potato fries tossed with olive oil, smoked paprika and garlic powder, ready to serve in under an hour. A simple, wholesome vegan side dish or snack.
Wash and scrub the sweet potatoes to remove any dirt. You don't have to peel them, but I prefer to.
Cut each sweet potato in half lengthways, then into wedges or fries.
Place them in a large bowl.
Sprinkle over some salt, ground black pepper, 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika and 1 teaspoon of garlic powder.
Drizzle with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and toss together until evenly coated.
Spread the sweet potato fries or wedges evenly in a single layer on an oven tray.
Bake for 30-40 minutes, until crispy.
Serve with a dipping sauce of choice.
Notes
Spread the fries in a single layer with space between them for maximum crispiness. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days, and reheat in the oven or air fryer (not the microwave) to keep them crisp.
