Ingredients

  • 2 sweet potatoes
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • salt and ground pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 200ºC/400ºF.
  • Wash and scrub the sweet potatoes to remove any dirt. You don't have to peel them, but I prefer to.
  • Cut each sweet potato in half lengthways, then into wedges or fries.
  • Place them in a large bowl.
  • Sprinkle over some salt, ground black pepper, 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika and 1 teaspoon of garlic powder.
  • Drizzle with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and toss together until evenly coated.
  • Spread the sweet potato fries or wedges evenly in a single layer on an oven tray.
  • Bake for 30-40 minutes, until crispy.
  • Serve with a dipping sauce of choice.

Notes

Spread the fries in a single layer with space between them for maximum crispiness. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days, and reheat in the oven or air fryer (not the microwave) to keep them crisp.
