Are you looking for some vegetarian recipe inspiration? In this list, you will find 10+ easy cooking recipes that will become your favorite. All of them are delicious and quick to make! Give them a try!
Let’s face it: cooking is not an easy activity for everyone. For me, it’s something basic and relaxing; something I do each and every day, regardless if I’m cooking for myself or if I’m testing out a new recipe for the blog (okay, I also have cheat days when we eat out or when we’re ordering takeaway at home). Cooking is a relaxing activity that brings me pleasure right now, but this wasn’t always the case.
In the beginning, I started cooking because I had to. I had to find ways to feed myself without spending a lot of money in restaurants or supermarkets, buying already-cooked food. At some point, one of the reasons why I started cooking more was because of my health: I wanted to take care of myself more and avoid ultra-processed foods, which we all know are not very good for our health.
So everyone has to start somewhere. If you’re just beginning cooking or you’ve decided to make a switch in your diet this year and learn more about how to cook vegan and vegetarian food, you’ll need a good starting point. This means a list of recipes that are easy to make, so you won’t get discouraged in the middle of cooking.
When you have little to no experience with cooking, it’s very easy to get discouraged by endless lists of ingredients that are hard to find, cooking methods that require lots of utensils and appliances, or by a long cooking time. You’re not lazy, it’s a normal feeling when you’re just starting out with something new!
But let me tell you this: cooking shouldn’t be complicated. In fact, cooking is a very easy activity if you know how to choose your recipes. Forget about the impression that you need a kitchen robot, 10 knives, and 20 ingredients to make something good and impressive to eat. That’s not true. You can make a yummy, unforgettable meal with 5 ingredients, a pot, and a stove. Or with 3 ingredients and a blender. It’s that easy!
The start of the year is more often than not the time when most people decide to make a change in their lives. If your aim this year is to get used to cooking yummy and healthy vegetarian recipes, then you have opened the right article.
Because I want to help you understand just how easy cooking can be, I simplified the job of finding the proper recipes to start with for you. I created this list of recipes, which reunites some of the easiest + most delicious recipes I could find that literally ANYONE can make, regardless if they have a fully equipped kitchen or not.
All of the recipes below are very easy to make and can be the perfect start for your journey. I have selected recipes that are great for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or a quick snack, so you can get used to the wonderful world of cooking without feeling overwhelmed.
You’ll learn how to make fried rice (with quinoa instead of rice), hummus (everyone should know how to make it, it would be such a shame not to!), breakfast tacos (literally one of the easiest recipes on this list) and even a no-fuss pizza that’s made in a skillet. Sounds amazing, right?
All you need to do is get motivated, take a look at the recipe list below (that also contains 5 of my own recipes too!) and save your favorites. Then get to the kitchen and start cooking; you’ll soon find out that making your own food at home is both EASY and CHEAP. You can thank me later!
Oh, and don’t forget to have fun, and don’t be afraid to swap some of the ingredients in case you don’t have all of them readily available in your pantry; maybe you have some others that could work just as well. There’s only one rule: experiment! 🙂
