Best Vegan Cheese Recipes Challenge

Today is the day I start the “Best Vegan Cheese Recipes” Challenge. I am SO excited!! I got the idea to challenge myself to create the absolute best vegan cheese recipes, after I decided to give up dairy. I tested some recipes already and love them so much that I want to share them with you all!

Cheese “addiction” is fake! I thought I would never be able to give up dairy products, because I loved cheese so much. Well, I did and it’s not that difficult either. There are so many amazing vegan cheese options you can make at home. Store-bought vegan cheese is kind of crappy, that’s true. I haven’t found one that I actually like. But you can make vegan cheese at home and it’s not complicated or time-consuming either!

So, what is the “Best Vegan Cheese Recipes” challenge?

I challenged myself to create the best vegan cheese recipes. I will try all kinds of cheeses, from melty ones like mozzarella, to smoked, cream and even French cheese types! I want to create some vegan cheese recipes which would also be budget-friendly and will not cost you a fortune to make it. Also, time is important too. Nobody has time to stay in the kitchen for an hour just to make a slice of vegan cheese.

So, all vegan cheese recipes that I will create will be:

  • easy to make
  • budget-friendly
  • quick (preferably take less than half an hour)
  • as similar as possible to the original dairy cheese recipe
  • DELICIOUS!

That being said, from now on I will start testing and creating vegan cheese recipes and I will share them with you all on my blog. I will also add them all in a gallery here, in this post.

I already tried one recipe and it was beyond my expectations. I have high hopes for this! Your feedback is very much appreciated, so let me know what you think!

Hugs,

Ruxandra

Probably you're already familiar with the keepin it kind nog and her cookbook that just came out "but i could never go vegan", but she has a whole section of the book dedicated to vegan cheeses and some are on her blog. You could check it out for inspiration!

Yes, I follow Keepin It Kind but I didn't know she had a vegan cheese section on her book. I will definitely look into it. Thank you very much, Anna! I need all the inspiation I can get. I tested 3 cheese recipes so far but I want to get them perfect before sharing them on the blog. :)
