This vegan chocolate ice cream has a rich chocolate taste and a creamy texture, plus it’s ready in less than 10 minutes! Learn how to make it, below.
Ever wondered how to make chocolate ice cream at home? It’s not difficult at all! I love vegan ice cream and ever since I discovered this trick, I stopped buying ice cream from the store!
So far, I’ve tried vegan ice cream recipes with fruits, vanilla, sorbets, and now it was time for a decadent chocolate ice cream recipe with a rich taste and texture!
To make this vegan chocolate ice cream you’ll need just 3 ingredients! Ripe, frozen bananas, high-quality cocoa powder, and walnuts – that’s it! Can you believe it?! You can also add some vegan dark chocolate on top and make it even better!
I’m planning on trying this vegan ice cream recipe with peanut butter as well. Thinking about making a Duo ice cream, half with chocolate and the other half with delicious, peanut butter swirls. You can use this technique to make any kind of fruit ice cream you want. If you use frozen fruits, make sure you add a healthy sweetener to the mix, because not all frozen fruits are as sweet as bananas.
Bananas are perfect for a more creamy texture, but you can also use avocados or even frozen coconut milk (the high-fat type). I will try a recipe with coconut milk soon and share it with you if it turns out to be a success. 🙂
Even though it may sound really basic, this chocolate nice cream recipe tastes just like regular milk-based ice cream! Actually, I like this even more! I feel like I can eat huge quantities of nice cream without any guilt at all! Hope you’ll give it a try! 🙂
P.S. I started creating videos as well. Follow me on YouTube to be the first who sees what new recipe I post! I will start a “What I eat in a week” series soon. So stay tuned!

This looks awesome! I have a Blendtech, and I can't get it to blend just frozen fruit well without water or other liquid. Any advice?

You could try slicing the bananas into smaller pieces and processing small quantities at a time. Maybe your blender will be able to process the frozen banana without overheating.
