This fibre-rich raspberry smoothie with golden flax seeds is a great treat to start your morning with! It will not only nourish you but cleanse your body as well!
There have been some crazy hot days this week! I lost my appetite and all I wanted was to lay down in a cool place. I skipped some breakfasts this week too, but not today! I decided to stop this unhealthy habit and made myself a fibre-rich raspberry smoothie!
I just love smoothies for breakfast! They’re ready super-fast and are also very nutritious! What more can you wish for?! I used fresh raspberries for this one and added some golden flax seeds too for some extra fiber! It was sweet and delicious! As always, I used banana as a base ingredient for this smoothie, but if you want you can use veg milk as well.
Why golden flax seeds?
Because I love how they look and taste! They’re also rich in fibers and I’ve heard they’re better than brown flax seeds. Here’s an article I found on Melissa’s website about the benefits of golden flax seeds.

- 125g (1 cup) fresh raspberries
- 2 Tbsps golden flax seeds
- 2 bananas, peeled and sliced
- healthy sweetener of choice, to taste - I used stevia
- water, as needed
- Add all ingredients into the blender. Add 1/2 cup of water to start with.
- Blend all until smooth.
- Add more water while blending, as needed to reach the desired consistency.
