10+ Quick Lunch Ideas for Work That Are Best for Meal Prepping

Are you looking for some recipe inspiration? In this list, you will find 10+ quick lunch ideas for work that are best for meal prepping. Organization at its best!

For me, meal prepping was a lifesaver. I used to be so stressed about what I was going to eat on certain days, running around to the farmer’s market or supermarket searching for ingredients, only to come back home and find that I can’t put together a complete meal with the stuff I bought. So I would often end up eating an improvised meal on the run (such as a sandwich), feeling even more stressed out that I don’t have enough time to cook during the way with my entire work schedule and so on.

Okay, now I have my own garden, so things are much easier for me now. But a big part of my organization and peace of mind has come from meal prepping for sure. Here’s how I do it: every Saturday I come up with a menu for the upcoming week. Everything – every lunch and dinner for all the upcoming weekdays (I keep weekend days for meals with friends or going out to our favorite restaurants).

I do my grocery on Saturday as well or on Sunday morning (oftentimes I order everything at home from a local supermarket), then on Sunday I cook. I prepare everything and store it in the fridge or freezer for the upcoming days.

Of course, you don’t need to do it as I do, but I really think that, if you’re someone that has to go to the office to work (now that the pandemic is over and whatnot), meal prepping for work is a real time-and-energy saver. And it’s so much easier than having a complete meal plan for an entire week!

If you’re just starting out with meal prepping, you will need some help so as to not feel overwhelmed and even more stressed out. This means that I recommend you try some quick recipes that can be easily taken to work in a container such as Tupperware.

I also recommend you try casserole dishes – these are dishes that are usually made in an oven tray. You’re basically cooking larger quantities at the same time, so you’ll end up with enough food to last you for multiple days. Now all you need to do is portion that food and keep it in the fridge. While you’re getting ready for work in the morning, just remember to take your packed lunch with you to the office and you’re good to go!
