The health benefits change depending on which green vegetable we’re talking about, but all of them have one thing in common: they’re super healthy and they are known to reduce the risk of numerous diseases such as obesity, diseases related to mental decline, heart diseases and more.
You know what they say… eat the rainbow! Well, when it comes to ‘green’, all the veggies I mentioned in the list above are great contendants.
Another great advantage of green vegetables is that they’re so varied, they can easily be incorporated into numerous recipes. Just think about lettuce in a salad – that’s the most logical ingredient to start a good salad with, right? Or let’s think about a filling stew – you can throw in just about any vegetable you have in your fridge or pantry, so might as well add a little bit of green as well.
