Are you looking for some recipe inspiration? In this list, you will find 10+ vibrant spring recipes. All of them are delicious and healthy, made with seasonal ingredients!
Spring is a much-awaited season everywhere around the world – and with good reason!
Spring is when the entire nature comes to life. Animals, insects, greenery, flowers, and everything in-between. It’s a period of awakening and remembering about the good things in life, after long, dull, wintery days.
For us foodies, spring is one of the happiest seasons because of fresh produce! No more boring, comforting meals that are fit for rainy or cold days. No more potatoes, fried patties, soups, or stews. It’s time for vibrant, colorful, and fun dishes made with fresh produce, herbs, fruits, and veggies. And I’m all for it!
In case you’re wondering about some unmissable produce for your spring recipes that you should buy from the farmer’s market while it’s in season, here’s a good list below:
- salad greens
- peas and snap peas
- new potatoes
Sounds pretty amazing, right? Just think of all the colorful dishes you can make during spring. Trust me, it would be such a shame not to make the best of this season and buy all the fresh produce you can. And yes, I totally encourage you to buy these from the farmer’s market instead of the supermarket because of two reasons.
First, the quality is definitely better, with a bigger ratio of eco and bio homegrown produce. Second, you’re supporting local farmers trying to make a living. For some of them, winter can represent a couple of really hard months, but that should change when spring comes!
